Loved that it was a "grab and go" kind of book -- which seems very on-trend with how people are "getting information" these days. No one has time to read looong books... We are being trained by social media and you tube quick bites is what we want. Loved that I could see myself leaving it on my night table or somewhere else in my house, knowing that I would likely flip to it again very readily. Loved that I also felt that I could just open it to any page to get something out of it. In other words, I felt like I didn't have to re-read it -- but could start anywhere to get moving.... Loved that it gave me a sense of longing to de-clutter. The book just gave me enough to have a "desire" not to be too overwhelming, but in an unassuming way it made me think "is this something I have a desire to do?" And, at the same, time gave me the sense that that desire didn't mean it had to be a daunting task. Loved the imagery! Thought the approach with the pictures was "just right". It didn't look too "over done", yet very purposeful in its approach.

I want you to know that the Less Clutter More Life re-read that the Lord brought to me this morning in front of the fireplace with my bowl of oatmeal touched my heart in really profound ways, and I just wanted to bless you with that today. I appreciate you. I appreciate the way you let the Lord use your gifts and I pray that you have a wonderful day.

Reading your book was very helpful on many levels but the biggest take away was that a productive environment does not mean a perfect environment. It’s not about getting everything organized perfectly but it is about having a system and tools that help you get things done in an efficient manner. I don’t need every surface clear at every point of the day but by using your systems I can have my mind clear and that will make the day more productive. I also felt empowered to act after our meeting – that I had permission to let go of things that were not serving me. I have made good progress in several areas which inspires me to continue, doing what I can, when I can and being happy with the results! (Source: Amazon.com)

With the beauty and clarity of a precious gem,"Less Clutter, More Life" is a gift of inspiration to us all. It's been said that "you can't make sense out of non-sense". Well, Barbara Hemphill does just that. In heart felt way, she makes sense out the non-sense of physical, and emotional clutter. Using the tools offered, this is a guide book for helping people live the life they want to live.

There is a gentle urging in this book that encourages rather than instructs; the message "Are you enjoying your work and are you enjoying your life?" opens in us a dialogue with ourselves. We are encouraged rather then given criticism for the years of our accumulations and indifference to the weight it presses upon us. The photos by Louise Wannier are likewise gentle and peaceful. They urge us to appreciate beauty, space, color, and all nature has to offer. One particular photo of the shadow of a woman against the grass is sweetly seductive, suggesting a walk in beauty. When I finished reading the book, I sorted through years of holiday cards, keeping only a few photos of those I love, and sent the rest to inhabit some other space, not mine. This book is a deep meditation, and a kind teacher. (Source: Amazon.com)

I was given the book, Less Clutter More Life, as a gift. I thought it was a book about eliminating clutter that we often collect via mail, newspapers, etc. that accumulates and we never get the chance to clean it up. But, it was not that! It was a book that helps deal with the "stuff" or "clutter" that we emotionally attach to symbols, objects, etc. that hinder our closure on relationships or issues encountered in our life journey. Dealing with this "stuff" can at times be painful. It was helpful to know, through reading Barbara Hemphill's book, that dealing with this clutter facilitates moving forward. The suggestions in the book were extremely helpful. (Source: Amazon.com)

This masterfully crafted book is full of inspiration that life can truly and fully be celebrated with the release and elimination of the clutter that we so desperately hold onto...but do not need. The awareness that clutter comes in more than a physical state, but also an emotional, mental and spiritual, propels one to launch into clearing them all out of one's life so the joy that has been stifled can be realized! Barbara Hemphill delivers an articulate and beautiful delivery of wisdom that her 35 year career as a professional organizer and life, in general, has taught her. Louise Jane Wannier then punctuated Barbara's words with truly exquisite photographs that perfectly blend with each page of prose! The end result is a beautiful book that is a true treat to the eyes, the heart... and the soul! (Source:Amazon.com)

What an amazing eye opener this book was for me! After reading the first six pages, my heart softened towards a few of my family members that constantly struggle with disorganization. No one, at the end of their life, wishes they collected more stuff. Barbara gets to the core of the matter in this book. It is short, sweet and to the point. The illustrations are captivating. I am grateful that professional organizers, like Barbara, have made it their life's purpose to organize God's people. Barbara has an incredible way of highlighting all the important aspects of getting organized. This book would actually make a great gift for an organized person or a disorganized person. She addresses the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of organizing. Thank you writing this book Barbara. I am forever grateful that you changed the trajectory of my relationship with my daughter. I am back on course. (Source:Amazon.com)
